How we work

The process in 4 steps

A repeatable, documented methodology — from the enquiry to an opinion that stands up in court.

1

Enquiry and consultation

We establish the scope of the case, the type of medium and the deadline. We advise on how to hand over the material safely.

2

Securing the evidence

A forensic image with checksum (hash) verification, a write blocker, the start of the chain of custody.

3

Analysis

Examination solely on the copy: reconstructing actions, files and the timeline. The original stays intact.

4

Opinion and report

A clear, documented opinion or expert report — repeatable and ready for use in proceedings.

Who we are

About us

Waldemar Chodasiewicz
Court expert

Waldemar Chodasiewicz

M.Sc. Eng.

Court-appointed expert in IT and telecommunications at the Regional Court in Warsaw and founder of FireNet. Since 2009 I have specialised in digital forensics, digital-evidence analysis, cybersecurity and IT expert reports for courts, prosecutors, law-enforcement agencies, public administration and the private sector. My experience covers the analysis of computers and mobile devices, data recovery, security-incident investigation, assessment of IT systems, and the preparation of opinions for criminal, civil and commercial proceedings. At FireNet I also develop modern solutions using artificial intelligence to support the analysis of evidentiary material and automate digital-forensics processes.

Who we are

FireNet is a digital forensics practice run by a court-appointed expert. We secure and analyse digital evidence for prosecutors, courts, the police, law firms and companies. We combine courtroom experience with proprietary tools and a methodology compliant with international standards.

Mission

To deliver digital evidence that will stand up in court — acquired in a repeatable, fully documented and verifiable way. We establish the facts where every byte counts.

Working standards

We conduct every examination on forensic (bit-for-bit) images of media, with checksum (hash) verification and a full chain of custody. The original stays intact. We apply the ISO/IEC 27037, 27042 and 27043 standards and write blockers.

Ethics

We act impartially and independently — regardless of who the client is. We maintain full confidentiality and comply with the GDPR and investigative secrecy. Our opinions rest solely on verified facts.
