What is digital forensics (computer forensics)?
It is the securing, analysis and interpretation of digital evidence in a repeatable and documented way, so that the findings stand up in court. It covers computers, storage media, phones, and cloud and network data.
Does the examination alter the original evidence?
No. We work on a bit-for-bit forensic image of the medium, while the original is connected through a write blocker and secured. We confirm integrity with a checksum (hash), so the evidence stays intact.
Can you recover deleted data (e.g. messages from a phone)?
Often yes. Some data remains recoverable even after the user deletes it — the scope depends on the device model, the system version and encryption. We perform every extraction while preserving evidentiary value.
How long does it take to prepare an opinion?
It depends on the type and number of media and the scope of the analysis. After an initial consultation we give a realistic deadline. In urgent cases (e.g. an incident) we act as a priority.
Do you work only with courts, or also with companies and private individuals?
With both. We prepare opinions commissioned by courts and prosecutors, as well as private expert reports for law firms, companies and individuals.
How do you ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance?
We act impartially and maintain confidentiality. We process data in accordance with the GDPR, on secured infrastructure, solely to carry out the engagement and for as long as necessary.
Will the opinion stand up in court?
Yes — provided the evidence was secured correctly and the methodology is sound. We apply the ISO/IEC 27037, 27042 and 27043 standards and a full chain of custody, so the result is repeatable and defensible.
